Love at new sight
Three for three. Not bad friends.
Months ago, many months ago i told myself i was turning over a new leaf. ( i am doing the hand action right now, mel tells me i can program some hand movement things but clearly i am not that advanced yet. I will teach you all now. Take your right hand, hold it in front of you palm facing the floor. Slowly leading with your thumb rotate your hand to turn it palm up.) Now this may seem easy at first but the problem is that you can't just turn over a new leaf right off the bat. My problem was that although my mouth had committed to the complete 180. physically and mentally i was stuck somewhere between 45 and 90 degrees. I was unable to actually rotate my hand to see my beautiful palm. I feel over the past couple of weeks i have begun to see the beauty in things had I had forgotten or been too in a rut to see.
Today i think i have fallen in love........... Vancouver is beautiful and no, it is not because i saw my bridge but simply because i opened my eyes. I went for a Rollerblade around the seawall this afternoon. I have always thought that the park is beautiful but man, it is beautiful. It is a shame they have chosen now to fix it up a bit. Well, after my friend left to turn up his street I enjoyed a lemonade and chatted with a friend on the phone before the grueling hike up the hill which kills me every time. While sipping my lemonade which by the way, was one of the best lemonades i have ever had, i realized that i am a lucky girl.
I feel like maybe my leaf today is at 110 of the way there. A few more changes need to be made and a few more challenges need to be overcome but i tell ya, i am getting there.
Infact, liked that seawall so much that after dinner I walked it again.
Of course today's good mood could simply be the sunshine warming my heart. CHEEZY!!!
tss tss tss tss.
And on that cheezy note i will leave you with today's quote. In the winter i was not in love with Vancouver. I hate how grey it gets here. Well, walking over my bridge always makes me feel better so i walked my bridge. Later that day i found a necklace with a quote on it. I like quotes. I bought as a reminder to not have to walk across my bridge to feel better.
Quote of the day:
“see the beauty that is still around you and be happy”
-i am sure someone said this but it is taken from my necklace. Bought at blue ruby.
So open your eyes. Turn over your leaf or at least get it rotating. See beauty and be Happy.
P.S. Remind me of this entry when i start to bitch or go on some rant.

i thought we were doing the "Whatevz sign" not the "Turn over Leaf Sign"... but anyway, glad you are at 110. I've been in love with Vancouver for YEARS now... best relationship ever :)
